Marketers consider live events an extension of their brand and content marketing. They want to host events that engage and portray their brand.

While we worked on many product initiatives to increase participant engagement, marketers felt that the product did not allow them the freedom to project their brand personality. Our events supported just a dark theme that did not resonate well with marketers.

Our event supported only a dark theme with limited brand colours.

How do we enable marketers to realize their brand?

Manuel broke down the ingredients of visual style by studying over 100 live events. His analysis showed that all events use a combination of colour & gradient, shapes & patterns, images & illustrations and symbols & typography to create a unique visual theme. A mix of all of these can help one arrive at a unique visual story for a brand.

Tanya worked on the interactions to edit the individual elements with complete granularity for both the event Landing page and the Live event.

The result was the ability for marketing teams to create events with rich visual variety like in physical events.
